Sourcing Story
Member's Mark coffee comes from a range of cooperatives in Colombia. This coffee is purchased directly from a co-op of farmers and growers, Coopertiva de los Andes, which helps them put food on their table, support their families, and invest in their communities. Each purchase aids in the development of family farmers, ensuring their growth and progress for generations to come. Additionally, Coopertiva de los Andes has provided $25,829 to support 185 individuals through their education and scholarships project.
Farmer Quote: “Many times we don't have enough to make ends meet during the non-harvest season, so (Fair Trade) benefits are key to our success. Many producers give up, sell their plots and move to the cities. But us who are affiliated find strength in numbers with the co-op. My daughter Yuliana has received a Fair Trade scholarship and wants to continue working in coffee as a field engineer. Remember you are helping us and our families get ahead, progress, so please keep buying. Plus, we produce very high quality coffee!”
