Spaghetti Bolognese Recipe


What you’ll need
  • 250 g of Spaghetti, cooked & drained
  • 1 can of Prego traditional pasta sauce.
  • 200 g spaghetti
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 250 g minced beef or chicken
  • 1 carrot, diced
  • 5 button mushrooms, quartered (optional)

How to make it

  1. Fill a large pot with six water, bring to a boil and add salt.

  2. Add the pasta and stir until the water returns to a boil. Set a timer for one minute less than the package instructions recommend.

  3. Now, strain and cool briefly, but do not rinse. Rinsing washing away the starch that helps the sauce stick to the pasta. Toss in olive oil instead.

  4. For the sauce. Heat olive oil until hot in a pan. Stir fry minced beef or chicken until nicely browned.

  5. Add onion, carrot & mushrooms, and stir until fragrant.

  6. Pour the Prego traditional pasta sauce – stir and simmer for 5 minutes (A little water, salt and black pepper can be added to preference)

  7. Serve Bolognese sauce over cooked spaghetti and enjoy!
